Medieval Medicine with Bessie Borage (KS2)
Meet Bessie Borage and learn about medicine and cures from the Middle Ages.
- Listen to the strange and wonderful cures of the day and look at Bessie’s table of objects, some of which can be handled with care.
- Included in the session is the chance for the students to make a medieval amulet from air dry clay / herb bag to ward away sickness and disease.
- Have a go at a quiz – find the cure for the ailment.
- Find the medicinal herbs in a Word Search.
The session is delivered by Christina in medieval costume.
Cost is £2.50 per student plus travel expenses. There is a catchment area for this session.
